No wind is favorable if you know not where you're sailing
Feeling a bit frustrated lately. At the end of the day I feel as if I accomplished almost nothing. Funny thing is I worked and bashed around like crazy.
Could be a perception issue. But I think it’s mostly because I’m free balling it a bit too much lately. I’m following no todo list and have no priority tasks set. I dropped those as I’m currently in a highly exploratory period.
But that’s giving me a severe case of “no wind is favorable if you know not which port you’re sailing” (Seneca’s words, not mine).
Starting tomorrow, a new practice I’ll commit to is defining each morning my top 3 priorities for the day. And then I’ll focus on getting those done as early as possible.
After accomplishing those I’ll be free to wander and explore as I see fit, without feeling like an utter failure at EOD.
Hopefully.
