Tools and noise
I’ve been checking out NeoVim and LazyVim, wondering if switching from VS Code/Cursor makes sense. The big draw? Customizability. That’s cool, but honestly, I’m not convinced it’s worth the switch for me.
There are many tools and frameworks I want to check out. OpenCode, Amp, Augment Code, ...
But the silly thing is all this is just noise.
Tools are nice, but they’re not the goal. The goal is to build and ship.
Maybe I’ll dive deeper into these tools when I have real spare time. Or maybe I’ll time block tool-exploration in a monthly slot.
But chasing new toys shouldn’t steal my focus.
That’s why having a clear goal and prioritizing daily tasks is crucial. Otherwise, I risk wasting time pulled in every direction by shiny distractions.
